How to start a garden in your backyard from scratch-how to garden: starting a vegetable garden
Food4Wealth is a gardening system created by Jonathan White. He has 20 years experience as a horticulturalist. On the official website, he says that you can save $5,000 a year on your food bill if you use his system. Of course that is going to depend on how much you are currently spending on vegetables, but the point is that your food4wealth garden is supposed to produce far more vegetables and with more variety than any other traditional garden.

Initially this was very hard to believe, but as you are exposed to the program, you soon begin to see that this is very possible. The incredible part about the system is it's common sense. After going through the course, you'll have several moments of "I can't believe I didn't think of that before".

Jonathan White very quickly points out that traditional horticulture is about solving problems. In other words, traditional gardening has a basic approach that tries to solve multiple problems before you even get started - when really it just creates more problems.

Food4Wealth takes a totally different approach, which is really incredible. Jonathan White explains how an untouched natural ecosystem solves it's own problems. For example:

A large variety of vegetables and fruits grown together fertilize each other and prevent water-based withering.
The activity of 'plant-specific' bugs is greatly reduced with a hodgepodge of different plant species in the same area.
Weeds are discouraged from growing due the high competition provided by the different plants all together.
While these may sound like pretty wild claims, these benefits are well documented -- pests are confused because they cannot find their desired plant in such a mixture.

Re-seeding takes care of itself. After some time, when every spot is filled with the right kind of plant, the bed becomes so full of seeds that the system re-sows itself by self seeding.

Weed growth is also severely depressed because the system does not allow weeds to compete by evenly consuming the various resources in the soil.
